When Regional Account Manager, Brock Horwath, checked to confirm an order of club wrestling uniforms had been delivered, he was met with an unpleasant surprise. Despite the fact he had confirmed with the manufacturer the day before that the order would ship and arrive at a local high school the next morning, he located the shipment undelivered and stuck miles away in a completely different state.
Horwath knew the deadline to deliver the uniforms was tight and certainly not optional. So without hesitation, Brock grabbed his car keys and began a long and urgent roadtrip past state lines.
Although the issue with shipping was out of Horwath’s control, he was still determined to locate the uniforms and deliver them to the wrestling club himself. The team needed the uniforms for a match that same night and Horwath was committed to meeting the deadline he had promised them.
After an estimated nine hour round trip, Horwath arrived at the school gymnasium in time to hand deliver the team’s new uniforms before their match. The coaches and players were impressed, relieved, and grateful.
Perhaps the most inspiring part of Horwath’s story is that he wasn’t asked to go above and beyond to meet his deadline, but did so because he was committed to delivering on the promise he made to his customers. Rather than allocating blame for the dilemma, he worked to find the shipment and made it his absolute mission to deliver on his promise.
Horwath’s dedication reflects a culture at our company we prioritize in each of the interactions we share with our customers. Our customers are our community and our community is our family. Horwath’s story reminds us of the common goal we all share to take care of our customers, no matter the circumstance.
Whether it be a tight deadline, complicated design, or even an error in shipping, we’re committed to delivering on our promises. We’ll even cross state lines to do it!
